I went and picked up a guest pass for homecoming only to find out all my plans were going to be thrown away.Grrr, my school has some whack ass homecoming policies this year. I CANT TAKE ANYONE WHO IS OUT OF HIGHSCHOOL, unless they graduated from shorecrest. boo to that. forreal. I had it all planned out, blah blah blah dinner, the outfits. the whole nine yards! shit is down the drain. Im on a mission to find a new date.

Today was an A day, I hate A days, but school wasnt too bad. In Advanced Topics I played soccer, and I was the goalie. I blocked hella goals, holler! haha my team won all thansk to me ;] thank you thank you! Yes, I know I rock. But blah, I can't be rockn the math book, I smile at my math teacher everyday pretending I fully understand the concepts. I dont even know how to work a calculator, so many damn buttons. Somehow, I'm averaging a 76.2%...that's pretty darn amazing if you ask me, consindering i dont understand SHIT. US History was a pretty chilled out period. Talked about prostitution, and how it's legal in Nevada. Is it good or bad? Discussion in class was pretty coo, real intelligent kiddos in there. SC staff had drills yesterday, They were put through scenarios dealing with active gun shooting, sounded like real intense stuff.

I LOVE YOUTHSPEAKS!!!!!!!!! we ate pho today. damn, we got some expert pho eaters...teachn' me how to eat soup and stuff..........im just a beginner ;] seng and joe were sweatn....like they were part of the x games or something. eating soup is intense i tell yah....Man, i feel the fire forreal yo. YouthSpeaks is hella gonna come up ya'all.

Out of boredom, my brother and I decided to take a little walk around the neighborhood . I talked to him about school, music, and the girls he's been trying to jock, and to my surprise...he mentioned a subject that I never thought he'd touch.
>>Derrick: I miss Mom
>>Monika: So do I
I held back my hot tears, we were silent for a good five minutes, just walking around underneath the stars. My cellphone rang, and broke the uncomfortable silence. My dad was checking up on us, making sure that we were both okay. It's crazy, but I felt the presence of my Mom, she was watching us, smiling. Damn, that was the most beautiful time I've shared with my brother. It was caught to my attention, that we're both growing up. There he was, standing about 5'6, a whole five inches taller than I, willingly opening up to his manang. He's never mentioned our Mom in the past six years. He opened my heart, and my eyes. Have I been the big sister I was supposed to be? I feel like I've failed...
